2 SIMPLE Pre-K Christmas Crafts

Add these two super EASY Pre-K Christmas crafts to add to your December lesson plans:

  • Gingerbread Craft
  • Name Building Activities

Those last few days before Christmas break can be HARD. You need to continue teaching academic skills, but your preschoolers are DONE (and so are you probably!).

Crafts are the perfect solution! Little ones will practice many developmentally appropriate skills while they have loads of fun. They won’t even realize they’re learning!

Benefits of Pre-K Christmas Crafts

Easy Differentiation

Activities that allow for specialized instruction are always a big win and at the top of a great teacher’s list. Be confident that both of these craftivities allow you to easily adapt the materials used, steps taken, learning content, and more!

Important Developmental Skills

As preschoolers cut, glue, and carefully place small pieces like stars and googly eyes, their fine motor skills will be working hard. They will work on spatial awareness skills as they put each piece together to create one large picture. Little learners will also work on social skills as they listen and follow directions and work alongside their peers.

Gingerbread Craft

This Gingerbread Craft is the perfect addition to your gingerbread unit this year.

Choose from girl or boy and bows, bow ties, buttons, and cheeks. Three sizes (small, medium, and large) are included for each accessory. Various size options make differentiating fine motor skills a breeze.

In a fast-paced Pre-K classroom, simple is always best! This resource is print & go for your convenience. Each page also lists the number of needed sets and the color of construction paper to use, so prepping is super quick and easy for you.

Name Building Crafts

Help preschoolers learn to assemble their names while creating Christmas and winter-themed crafts.

Choose different options based on the week’s read aloud or other activities planned for the day. Work on pattern building (check out my post on patterns for more info about why this skill is so important), letter identification, sequencing and so much more while building names.

Even better, grab the GROWING Name Craft Bundle and have access to 19+ name building craftivities that you can grab and use with any seasonal theme during the school year!!

Individualize learning with this Pre-K Christmas craft to meet the specific needs of your little learners. Some little ones may only be ready to sequence the letters of their name in the correct order, others can trace the letters, and others can write their own names on each piece. For ones who have already mastered their names, easily switch it up to create sight words, CVC words, or seasonal words!
