We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt by Steve Metzger

Companion Activity
Use this Fall Tree Name Craft to practice building names after reading The Leaves on the Trees.
Each student gets one leaf per letter of their name, then cuts and glues their tree together.
Students can write the letters of their own name, or you can do it for them. You can easily differentiate and meet the needs of your students and your classroom.
Switch it up and create sight words, CVC words, seasonal words, and so much more!
Name building, basic sight words, and fine motor skills are all basic skills for Pre-K and kindergarten, and this fall activity is the perfect way to practice these!

Students practice counting from 1 to 20 while counting fall-themed objects in this cute fall book. They can work to find the differences on each page and play “I Spy” as you read aloud too!
