This book is an absolute FAVORITE in my classroom (and in my home!). I LOVE the excited twinkle in my little learners’ eyes as they wait to see what animal will appear next.

Bill Martin Jr. uses repetitive and predictive text (which is so great for early readers), and the illustrations by Eric Carle are simple yet vibrant and just so fun.

Repetitive text allows for increased reading fluency, which also leads to increased reader CONFIDENCE. yay!!

This book is an easy one to add in a few related questions while you read too. No need to go overboard with questions, but a few will keep kiddos on their toes–literally and figuratively!
