I had just gotten hired as a first year transitional kindergarten teacher and everything the previous teacher left for me was completely outdated. There was also no curriculum or standards for TK at the time. I was making EVERYTHING from scratch, and it took sooo long!
I was knee-deep in creating crafts and activities that my students could actually learn from and enjoy.
Fast forward several years later, and here we are:

I’m Megan, your resident teacher and creator of Up and Away in Pre-K. I’ve been in Pre-K, TK, and kindergarten classrooms since 2013. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and Learning, a K-8 certificate, and a Transitional Kindergarten Early Childhood Credential.
I live in Southern California with my husband and two precious daughters who we’re raising to love Disney, animals, and music just as much as we do!
I create resources that are clean and colorful with clear instructions for easy use. I love sharing activities that are BRAND NEW and ones that use items you readily have in your home or classroom. I also intentionally integrate books and play into learning opportunities and share ALL of these ideas with you, so that you don’t have to try to do it all!
I take a different approach than most other teacher creators out there:
